What areas can be treated?
Fat freezing can slim down the upper and lower abdomen, upper arms, inner and outer thighs, hips, love handles, flanks, upper and lower back.
What results can I expect?
Clinical studies show a 20% to 40% reduction in fat in the area treated with the fat freeze treatment, although results will vary depending on the individual, the thickness of the fatty tissue, and the eating habits maintained post-treatment.
One treatment may be enough to achieve your desired results, or you may choose to have further sessions for even greater fat loss.
What happens during treatment?
Fat freezing is a non-surgical treatment requiring no anaesthetic. The fat freezing device is placed on the selected body area. The cooling panels will draw up and then chill the bulge. The fat cells freeze and die naturally. Only the fat cells are affected by the cold temperature; the surrounding tissue is left unharmed and healthy. Over the next few weeks, the dead fat cells are broken down and expelled from your body during natural metabolic activities.
Is it painful?
No! For the first three to five minutes of your treatment, you will feel pressure and warmth in the treated area followed by coldness. This can be uncomfortable, but not painful. Shortly after, the discomfort dissipates and you can read, relax, or work on your laptop for the rest of the treatment.
How long does the treatment last?
Each Fat freeze session takes 45 minutes on average. It may take longer if more than one area is being treated. In some cases, two areas can be treated at once.
How soon will I see results?
Maximum results take at least eight weeks to appear post-treatment, however many patients notice visible fat loss in as little as three weeks.
Are the results permanent?
Yes. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they will not grow back (adults cannot grow new fat cells). A healthy lifestyle will help optimise your results. In fact, many patients feel more motivated to eat healthy and exercise after treatment. We can offer you dietary advice alongside your treatment if desired.
Are there any side effects?
Cryolipolysis is proven to be a safe and effective treatment. Side effects are rare and can include redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness, cramping, itching, and numbness.
Is there any recovery required?
There's no recovery period necessary after the fat freeze treatment. It's a simple non-surgical procedure that allows you to return to your usual activities right away.
You may experience minor redness, bruising, or numbness in the treated area, but this is only temporary. Many patients have their treatment during a lunch break and return to work once it has finished.
